The short version
- The app doesn’t collect any data. There’s no account, no server, no analytics, no ads and no tracking.
- Your App Store Connect API key is stored in your iPhone’s Keychain, on that device only.
- AppVue talks only to Apple. Your sales, reviews and builds go from Apple straight to your iPhone.
- Our App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.”
What this policy covers
This policy covers the AppVue iPhone app, its widgets and this website, appvue.app. “We” and “us” means the maker of AppVue.
What the app collects
Nothing. AppVue has no account and no server of ours. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking of any kind. We don’t sell or share your data, because we never have it.
Your API key
To read your App Store Connect data, AppVue uses an API key that you create and give it. The key is stored in your iPhone’s Keychain, available only after the phone’s first unlock and only on that device. It’s never included in backups, iCloud, logs or widget data.
AppVue uses the key on your iPhone to sign short-lived requests to Apple’s App Store Connect API. You can revoke the key anytime in App Store Connect under Users and Access › Integrations, and it stops working everywhere.
What AppVue reads from Apple
Using your key, and only as far as its roles allow, AppVue reads your apps, sales reports (with your vendor number), version and review status, customer reviews, TestFlight builds, tester counts and TestFlight feedback. When you tap Send on a review reply, AppVue posts that reply through Apple. It also uses Apple’s public iTunes lookup to show ratings and app icons.
All of this goes directly between your iPhone and Apple. Apple’s privacy policy applies to Apple’s services.
What’s stored on your iPhone
- A cache of your numbers and reviews, so Today opens instantly. AppVue can rebuild it from Apple in one refresh. It’s excluded from backups and never synced.
- A small snapshot for widgets: per-app totals, review-status labels and dates. No review text and no tester email addresses.
- Your settings: alert choices, home currency, quiet hours and unsent reply drafts.
TestFlight feedback can include a tester’s email address, as Apple provides it. AppVue shows it only on that feedback’s detail screen.
Notifications and Face ID
Alerts are local notifications created on your iPhone after a background check. Nothing goes through a server. Face ID is handled by iOS, and the app never sees your face data.
Purchases
AppVue Pro is sold through Apple’s App Store. Apple handles payment, and we never receive your payment details.
Crash reports
If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone’s settings, Apple may share crash reports with us. Apple shares them anonymously. You can turn this on or off anytime in Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.
Children
AppVue is made for app developers and isn’t directed to children.
This website and email
This website doesn’t use cookies, analytics, or third-party scripts or fonts. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site and keep it secure.
If you email us, including to ask to hear when the app launches, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
Deleting your data
In the app, Settings › Delete all data removes your key from the Keychain, the cache, the widget snapshot and your settings. iOS can keep Keychain items after an app is deleted, so use Delete all data before deleting the app. Then revoke the key in App Store Connect.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll post the new version on this page with a new effective date.
